Friends and neighbors are welcome to enjoy my sharing garden again this year. The entrance is on Rolling Ridge Dr., next to the path between Harlow Dr. and Rolling Ridge and just across the street from the new flower farmstand at 151 Rolling Ridge. If you drive, you are welcome to pull into the gate that opens into my gardens.
You are welcome to stroll about, come and sit, and help yourself to any of the flowers, vegetables, or fruit you come across.
The entrance looks like this…..

The first edible plant you will see is the mulberry tree with two chairs underneath. I make mulberry muffins from these fruit when they begin to ripen and turn red.

There is also a small patch of (weedy) sweetgrass near the entrance to the garden. If you know how to braid sweetgrass, help yourself.

The first edible fruit come from the goumi berries at the end of one of the rows of blueberries. Its the large shrub. Tons of tart berries on this one in mid-June. But get them before the birds do!

The big garden in the middle will have gourds and mini-pumpkins available for kids to collect in October. It surrounded by cut flowers, which will start cutting in early July.

As in the past, the hoop house will have tomatoes and cucumbers. Help yourself, but please don’t take too many so we can share them with others.

Something new this year is the “four directions” garden. This is full of flowers that provide food for pollinators throughout the summer. You are welcome to cut the flowers as well. If you’d like, you may pray in the four directions.
East = new beginnings
South = growing awareness
West = courage
North = wisdom

And of course, what most people come for (in addition to just walking around) are the cut glowers from “GG’s garden. They will be available to start cutting in late June and hopefully continue into the fall.

This is an awesome concept put into practice. You’ve doing great things.
